Groundwater

Groundwater applications is one of the key expertises of Aarhus Geophysics. Our software was originally designed for groundwater purposes in Denmark, and we have been working intensively with a wide variety of groundwater applications over the years.

Both DC and EM methods are used intensive for groundwater applications. The DC methods are commonly applied and the Aarhus Workbench has a specialized module to process and invert data from any multi-electrode system. Whether you work with ground based TEM or airborne time-domain or airborne frequency domain EM methods we have a software package designed to process and invert these data.

The Danish Ministry of the Environment has collected information on Danish environmental solutions. The first area to be covered is water related issues. Check this link: "Danish lessons"Smile

Check out the promising application of AEM over lagoons from this study over the Venice lagoon.

We also invite you to have a look at this expanded abstact presented at the EAGE Near Surface 2009 conference in Dublin. The author use SkyTEM data inverted by Aarhus Geophysics to illustrate the 3D structure of a saltdome in Germany, also visible in the figure below.
