MT module

Aarhus Workbench features a full system for data handling, processing and inversion of Magneto Telluric data (MT). The processing and inversion tools are integrated in a fully equipped GIS environment.

Main features

  • A data importer for MT data in ascii-file format. In the import the data files are linked with a position file locating the data on the GIS-map. Data are then stored in the internal Workbench format for easy and fast access.
  • Advanced processing tools allowing the user to add extra noise to individual data points or entire soundings with just a few clicks of the mouse. Desktop example.
  • Full non-linear 1D-LCI type inversion of the data sets. Both multi-layer and few-layer inversions are supported. Data are marked with the polarization (E1/H2 or E2/H1) and the type (Rhoa or Phase) allowing separate inversions of the different data segments.
  • Comprehensive visualization features enabling detailed evaluation of the inverted data.
The GIS-map is an integrated part of the module enabling map-location of individual soundings.
